It's a...

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beau Huckleberry Allton-Nee

Born 9:39am

6lb 3oz / 2.85kg

Words can't express the overwhelming joy, tears and the love that fills our hearts. This photo was taken by the Doctor literally seconds after his heel prick hence the distress!!! There isn't a word that adequately describes the sheer brilliance of today.

  9. A MASSIVE thank you to every one for their wonderful messages, today has been truly amazing. All the anxiety, hard work, moments of joy and moments of sadness just fade away the moment we heard that he is delivered safe and healthy. Finally, we get to hold him tomorrow (it's so hard to see him cry through the window when we're both just aching to hold him and shower him with love). But that's something equally amazing to look forward to tomorrow. Everyone's excitement and support has been beyond fantastic and has meant the world to us and has made this journey all the better.

  10. Awww a new pic of him sleeping :) How long do they have to stay in the hospital after they're born?

  11. Hey Toban, at least with SCI, they are taken straight from the delivery theatre to a small sterile ward. We only get to see him through the glass. Tomorrow, we will go in the morning and get to hold him for the first time if the Doctor thinks he's healthy and doing well. Their nurses will then show us feeding, nappy changing, bathing etc. It's totally up to the Doctor when the can leave. We've been told he might be able to come home tomorrow evening, or Tuesday morning if they want to keep him in for any further observation. Beau was pretty much full term, so hopefully the hospital time is shorter. Of course, if they are premature, it would most likely be much longer.

  13. Hi Stacey, thank you so much! From the very recent scan pic, we was sure he was going to have gigantic cheeks (not big cheeky chubby cheeks but 'oh my god, look at the size of them, freakishly big!!!!!!!!') But fortunately, he is lovely and perfect, so we have total confidence that your twins will be born horn-free and beautifully perfect!!!!!

  18. What a momentous day! After all the waiting and worrying and hard work, you have so much to be thankful for in Beau. LOVE the name, and love that you called out the fact that all the sadness, anxiety, etc. fades away once the little guy arrived. You give us hope. Congratulations...he's just beautiful. Take care.

  19. A huge thank you again for all the lovely messages that continued to come for us. Beau is amazing, he's bought something magical to our lives, but it now feels, after just a couple of days, that magic has always been there and he's always been part of us. The struggles, anxieties, doubts, fears, disappointments, primarily emotional (and superficially financial) of this whole journey are absolutely totally worth it, we'd go through anything to have a baby boy as perfect as Beau. Life couldn't be more complete x
